DEAR AMY: My mother-in-law is a control freak. She has her nose in all of our lives, and she has crossed the line many times with me. My children love her, but they also get to break all the rules we have established for them while at her house, so I have to correct their behavior (such as constant candy eating, running on the furniture, etc.) when they return from a visit with her.
